Visual Art

At Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion Academy, students will enjoy five 50-minute art classes every three-week cycle during this school year. These classes will offer students the opportunity to explore visual art through a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, collage, and digital media.

The art curriculum at Jie Ming is designed to focus on the foundational elements of art while weaving Chinese culture throughout the program. Students will engage in Chinese painting and cultural projects, immersing themselves in the rich traditions and history of Chinese art.

This year, the art program will also begin utilizing Artsonia, the world's largest student art museum. Through Artsonia, every student will have their own online art gallery, where they can preserve and showcase their masterpieces in a digital portfolio.
