Uniform Policy
Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion Academy requests all students to wear school uniforms. The purpose of wearing a school uniform is to promote a unified school spirit, pride, and foster a positive learning environment. It is also part of the Chinese culture related experience for Jie Ming students because students in China wear uniforms in school.
Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion Academy has standardized the uniform colors and styles. For tops, the students are required to wear solid red collared polo shirts in short or long sleeves with the Jie Ming logo embroidered or sewed on. For bottoms, solid navy blue pants, skirts, skorts, jumpers, or shorts (no plaid, denim, or patterns). For dresses, solid red, or navy blue. For sweaters and sweatshirts, solid red or solid navy blue. Other colors are not acceptable. The students should wear athletic shoes to school every day. As the weather gets colder please keep a pair of shoes in school to exchange off with winter boots after arriving at school. It’s uncomfortable for children to wear boots all day in school.
