Dear Kindergartners, Parents and Families,

Welcome to Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion Academy! My name is Xuanyao Polga. Students call me Li Laoshi. This year is my tenth-year teaching kindergarten at Jie Ming!

I was born and grew up in Chongqing, China. I live with my husband and three children in Saint Paul. I have earned a master of arts in elementary education from Hamline University. As a parent and a person who chooses a career in education, I feel a strong connection with kids. I truly believe every student can learn and be successful and I am dedicating my life to helping children reach their highest potential.

Kindergarten will be a time of new beginnings, of making friends and of learning lots of new things. Although this year will present challenges, I am confident that we can work together to make the best of the situation. I will do my best to make this school year an enjoyable time for your child and provide opportunities for learning and growing.
