Welcome to the second grade!

My name is Xin Chen, and the students refer to me as "Chen Laoshi."

I come from the picturesque coastal city of Dalian, China. This marks my 5th year of teaching at Jie Ming.

I hold a Master of Education in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. Over the span of more than a decade, I have nurtured Mandarin language skills in learners of various ages and from diverse countries. I take pleasure in discovering the brilliance and talents within each student. Through mutual learning, we have gained much from one another, and I've relished imparting not only essential language skills but also fostering cultural exchange.

Outside of teaching, I am a mother to two children. I have an affinity for animals and plants. I keep a dog, fish and many house plants. Additionally, I find enjoyment in hiking, reading, and learning new things.

I eagerly anticipate collaborating with you and sharing a meaningful and enjoyable year ahead!
