About the Teacher

Ms. Pang-Ngia Vang

Hello!

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Jie Ming! My name is Pang-Ngia Vang and I teach English Learners. This year I will be working with English language learners in kindergarten and first grade. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself. I strongly believe that it is essential for parents to know as much about their child’s teacher as possible!

I attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and graduated in 1994, with a major in elementary education and a minor in English as a Second Language. Right after graduation, I went to Thailand and taught for a semester in Chiang Mai. The next year, I came back and went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to get my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I currently live in Eden Prairie with my wonderful and intelligent husband, Tim Jung. We love to travel and eat!

I have been a teacher for 27 years. I have three teaching licenses: Elementary Education, Bilingual Education, and English as a Second Language. I absolutely love teaching and could not imagine myself doing anything else! It is truly my passion! I cannot wait to start another exciting and successful year!
