The first time I came for an interview, I knew Jie Ming was the kind of school where I would love to teach. As I was queried with ideas about how to maximize learning in different scenarios, I felt the click of mind with my interview crew, touched by their love for children, trust in teamwork and dedication in education. I decided right there and then that this job is worth the hour-long commute.

I am a trained linguist and educator, with a doctoral degree in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona. My teaching career started in China at the turn of the century. Over the years I have followed my passion across the ocean, back and forth, teaching in different capacities both in China and in the U.S. Years of teaching experience have truly opened my mind and humbled my heart to the life-transforming power of education. I believe that with education everything is possible, and I have found it to be the most fulfilling career.

I am married with two children. When I am not with my students, I love spending time with my family, reading or jogging out in the open along the refreshing trails in Plymouth.

I am very excited to join our dedicated colleagues at Jie Ming. I look forward to meeting all my first graders and building a productive partnership with you and your child. Together, we will help everyone in the class to discover, share and celebrate the joy of learning in the coming year.
