Zong, Xinyue

Hi, my name is Jessie (Xinyue) Zong, and please feel free to call me Zong Laoshi or Jessie. I find great joy in exploring worlds of knowledge and beauty with young learners, whose fresh perspectives never cease to inspire me. I firmly believe creativity lies innate within every individual, simply waiting to be awakened through meaningful experiences.

Born and raised in Luoyang, China—a historic city that served as the capital for thirteen Chinese dynasties and is celebrated as the Peony Capital of the nation—I developed an early appreciation for cultural heritage. My academic journey includes a bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and a Master's in Public Affairs separately from institutions in China and U.S., followed by a Master of Education degree and K-6 teaching license from the University of Minnesota.

Since beginning my education career in 2012, I've had the privilege of teaching in both countries before finding my professional home at Jie Ming in 2017. Over these years, I've grown within this community as a teaching assistant, parent, and classroom teacher—experiences that have deepened my commitment to our shared educational values.

It's my honor to accompany your students on their learning journey this year. I'm confident we'll create lasting memories through our shared discoveries and growth.

When not teaching, you'll find me hiking local trails, diving into books, enjoying live music, or exploring cultural traditions with my husband Matt and our children Eleanore and Albert. These family adventures constantly remind me how curiosity connects us all across generations and cultures.
